Multidirectionally expanded boards
The manufacturing process for ePTFE sheets creates a multidirectional polymer fiber structure, imparting specific properties to the material. It is characterized by a very low compressibility coefficient and minimal lateral expansion, even under extreme conditions. Thanks to this multidimensional structure, ePTFE sheets exhibit excellent performance characteristics under high surface pressures and rising temperatures. Furthermore, compared to other PTFE-based materials, ePTFE demonstrates superior dimensional stability in terms of both thickness and width, even under demanding operating conditions.
Using gaskets made of ePTFE ensures joint tightness even at high temperatures. Multi-directionally expanded sheets are specifically designed to meet the strictest safety requirements and for use in critical applications, such as flanges in oxygen pipelines.
A sheet made of pure expanded PTFE, characterized by high chemical resistance. The material is resistant to aging and flexible, and offers high chemical resistance (with the exception of elemental fluorine and molten alkali metals).
APPLICATION
Sealing of flange connections—including those with complex geometries and precise dimensions—as well as chemical processing equipment, manholes, and heat exchangers; suitable for full-face sealing and for sealing flanges made of steel, aluminum, ceramic, plastic, rubber-lined, or enameled materials. Gaskets can be cut from these sheets on-site. Industrial applications.
