VITON® – FLUOROELASTOMER
Sheets made from a fluororubber compound (VITON®B by DUPONT) are characterized by exceptional heat and chemical resistance, and the fluorine content ensures non-flammability. The temperature range is -10ºC to +200ºC. This material exhibits very high resistance to ozone, ultraviolet radiation, and aggressive chemicals. FPM/FKM rubbers are compatible with mineral oils and greases, hydrocarbons, synthetic oils, and inorganic acids. These rubbers have low gas permeability. Compared to other rubbers, they exhibit a very low compression set coefficient and low oil swelling. Seals made from FPM/FKM rubber are characterized by self-lubrication.
